The Indian scooter industry has a fresh and competitive choice now. Italian two-wheeler maker VLF has introduced its first performance scooter, the Mobster 135, in India. With its introduction, this model will directly compete with popular scooters such as the TVS NTorq 150, Hero Xoom 160, Aprilia SR 175, and Yamaha Aerox 155 in the premium scooter segment.

The Mobster's appearance is totally new from any other 125cc scooters. It was designed by Italian designer Alessandro Tartarini. Its appearance seems to be a mixture of an adventure scooter and a streetfighter. It has twin LED headlamps, DRLs, a flyscreen with high height, and an exposed handlebar. The side panels are designed sharply for a sporty appearance. The seat is small in size. Customers will find this scooter in two colors: red and gray. It is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels, with 120-section tires on the front and 130-section tires on the rear.

The VLF Mobster 135 is equipped with modern technology. It features a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and can be operated via illuminated switchgear. The scooter features keyless ignition and auto start/stop. The scooter's entire lighting is LED. It is India's first 135cc scooter with switchable dual-channel ABS and traction control. The company claims a fuel tank capacity of 8 liters and a fuel tank capacity of 46 kmpl.

The VLF Mobster is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 12 bhp and 11.7 Nm of torque. It features telescopic forks at the front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear, improving ride quality.

The company will begin deliveries of the scooter in November, and it will be available nationwide. In the Indian market, this new performance scooter will compete with models like the Hero Xoom 160, TVS NTorq 150, Aprilia SR 175, and Yamaha Aerox 155.
