Unicorn companies will add one trillion dollars to GDP by 2030, will provide 5 crore jobs

By 2030, the GDP of India will increase by one trillion dollars thanks to new unicorn companies. In addition, it will generate five crore new job opportunities. In a report published on Thursday, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) predicted that unicorn companies would contribute $1 trillion to the economy, which is expected to reach $7 trillion by 2029–2030.
According to the report, sectors such as retail, e-commerce, next-generation financial services, manufacturing and software services and digital are set to drive massive growth in the coming years. In 2011, a technology company became a Unicorn for the first time in the nation. India has achieved the milestone of 100 unicorns in less than ten years. As of January 2024, the aggregate valuation of 113 unicorn companies is $350 billion. According to CII, the appearance of more than 100 unicorns is an incredible accomplishment.
