Uddhav Thackeray says, 'After Waqf, BJP eyes Christian, Jain, Buddhist and Hindu temple lands'
Waqf Bill: "They have made it public and everyone should open their eyes," Uddhav Thackeray said, referring to an Organiser article. It seems the article has now gone unpublished. The Shiv Sena UBT supremo replied in the negative when asked if he would approach the court over the Waqf Bill like other opposition parties.

Uddhav Thackeray, chief of Shiv Sena's UBT, on Sunday, charged the BJP with targeting land belonging to Christians, Jains, Buddhists, and even Hindu temples for its "friends" after applying the Waqf law. Uddhav Thackeray instructed his former ally BJP to "behave" like Lord Ram. "After the Waqf law, the next step will be to eye lands of Christians, Jains, Buddhists, and even Hindu temples. They will give prime land to their friends," he said. They have no love for any community.'
On Saturday, President Draupadi Murmu gave her assent to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which was passed by Parliament earlier this week. The government says the law will initiate reforms related to Muslim religious endowments in the country.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut said that in future all the Waqf land will go to the industrialist friends of the BJP. Sanjay Raut said that the BJP should not talk about poverty and claimed that the money it spent before the assembly elections last year is equal to the budget of Maharashtra.
At the same time, NCP (SP) leader Jitendra Awhad also made a similar allegation, citing an article published in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) mouthpiece Organiser. He claimed that after targeting Muslims, now it is the turn of Christians in the country. Aiming to the RSS-affiliated magazine, Aadhav claimed, 'Organiser had opposed the Constitution and the Indian tricolor in 1950.'
