India has made the preparations to advance its export of domestic weaponry one more step. Two South American nations have expressed interest in acquiring multi-barrel Pinak rocket launchers domestically. To do this, DRDO is creating two rocket launchers of the Pinak class, each with a range of 200 and 120 kilometres.

According to defence officials, India has already had success in exporting Pinak MBRL to Armenia. Now two South American countries have taken an interest in Pinak seeing its capabilities. It is noteworthy that this Indian-made weapon system has been named after Lord Shiva's bow Pinak. He said that Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) will develop and produce new rockets. These will be developed under the PPT model.
