Team India has returned home after winning the Asia Cup 2023 title. After finishing the final match in just 3 hours, the Indian team returned to their country on Monday morning. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the title match and became the Asian champion for the 8th time.

Team India's performance was strong in the final match of Asia Cup 2023. After defeating Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah were seen at Kalina Airport in Mumbai on Monday morning. After becoming the Asian champion, now Team India will focus on its next mission i.e. ICC World Cup 2023, which is to start on October 5. India will host the World Cup after 12 years.

The Indian team tasted its biggest victory in ODI cricket in the final of Asia Cup 2023. Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets with 263 balls remaining and won the Asia Cup title for the 8th time. With this, the Sri Lankan team was all out on its lowest score against India in ODI cricket. Five Sri Lankan batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account and the entire team was reduced to just 50 runs.

Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly and spent only 21 runs in his 7-over spell and showed the way to the pavilion to six Sri Lankan batsmen. Siraj became the first Indian and second bowler overall to take six wickets in the history of the Asia Cup. Earlier in the year 2008, Anjata Mendis had achieved the feat of taking six wickets in this tournament. At the same time, Hardik Pandya took three wickets while spending only 3 runs in his 2.2-over spell.
