Former Indian captain, veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane, is not giving up even at the age of 37. Rahane hit nine fours and three sixes on his way to 95 not out off 56 balls at a strike-rate of 169.64. This was the 53rd half-century of his T20 career. With this, Rahane completed 7500 runs in T20 cricket, becoming the 10th Indian batsman to achieve this feat. Rahane has scored 7531 runs in 274 innings across 291 T20 matches at an average of 30.36, with two centuries. His best score is 105 not out.

Continuing his form from last season, Rahane has performed exceptionally well this season, scoring 289 runs in six innings across seven matches at an average of 57.80, with a strike rate of 159.67. Rahane was the highest run-scorer in the 2024 season. He scored 469 runs in eight innings of nine matches at an average of 58.62, with a strike rate of 164.56. He played a key role in Mumbai's victory. His performance prompted Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to appoint him as their captain for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).
