Suzuki Recalls Over 5,000 Gixxer 250, SF 250 Bikes in India Over Brake Safety Issue
Suzuki Gixxer Recall: Suzuki Motorcycle India has recalled 5,145 units of Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 due to rear brake problems. The company will fix this problem for free. Let's know the whole matter and the details of the bikes.

The company has recalled two popular 250cc bikes in the Indian market, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, for safety reasons. A total of 5,145 units were manufactured between February 2022 and June 2026, during which this problem was identified.
The company said that the rear brake caliper assembly of the V-Strom 250 was mistakenly installed in the Gixxer 250 series. Due to this, there was no proper contact between the brake pad and the brake disc. This was causing uneven wear on the brake pads and reduced braking performance.
This is not the first time Suzuki has recalled the Gixxer 250 series. In February 2024, the company recalled the Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and V-Strom SX for service due to a problem related to the engine camshaft.
Suzuki has started contacting the affected customers. The company has requested that customers book an appointment at their nearest service center. There, the technicians will check the bike and do the necessary repairs completely free of cost.
Both the bikes get a 249cc single-cylinder SOHC, 4-valve oil-cooled engine, which generates 26.5 hp power and 22 Nm torque. This engine is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox, which gives a sporty performance and a smooth riding experience.
