CEO of social media giant Meta Mark Zuckerberg has targeted iPhone maker Apple. Zuckerberg has alleged that Apple has not made any significant invention after the iPhone and the company has been taking advantage of the iPhone for the last 20 years. He also alleged that Apple is applying arbitrary rules on developers.

In the podcast, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "On one hand, the iPhone is an amazing thing. When almost everyone in the world has a phone, it is an amazing thing. But on the other hand, Apple has implemented many arbitrary rules, and it would seem that they haven't invented anything new for a long time." And. Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, and the company has been stuck with it for the last 20 years. He further said that there are no significant upgrades in its new models, and that may be the main reason why the iPhone is struggling to sell. Later, Zuckerberg criticized Apple for making huge profits by levying a commission on developers of 30 percent besides squeezing people as it motivates consumers to purchase additional external gadgets like AirPods.

He said, 'They make things like AirPods, which are great, but they've completely hamstrung the ability for anyone else to build something that can connect to the iPhone in a comparable way.' Meta CEO claimed that if Apple relaxes its rules, its profit can double. Zuckerberg also put Apple in the dock as far as privacy and security are concerned. He said that instead of limiting third-party developers' work, Apple should pay more attention to enhancing security.
