He scored a century in the first Test match against India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In addition to this, he has become the first New Zealand batsman to score a Test century in India after 2012.

Ross Taylor was the last batsman from New Zealand to score a century in India in 2012. At Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, he faced 127 balls while scoring 113 runs in an innings.

The second century of his Test career came from Rachin Ravindra. In 19 innings, his second Test century, he scored a century off 124 balls with the help of 11 fours and 2 sixes. But after playing an innings of 134 runs, 13 fours, and 4 sixes facing 157 balls, Rachin Ravindra was dismissed. With this, the 24-year-old Rachin has become the 21st Kiwi player to score a century on Indian soil. During this inning, Rachin Ravindra shared an important partnership of 137 runs in 132 balls with former Kiwi captain Tim Southee for the 8th wicket.
