Madhya Pradesh's young batsman Rajat Patidar made his debut in the last ODI match played against South Africa at Boland Park, Paarl. However, Patidar could not do anything special in this match and returned to the pavilion after scoring 22 off 16 balls. But he has benefited from this in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and his fees have increased.
Patidar became the 256th player to make his ODI debut for India. As soon as he made his debut, he was no longer an uncapped player in the IPL. In such a situation, as per the rules, his fee increased from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. According to the rules of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), if an uncapped player makes his debut in the middle of the season, then the board will reward him.
Patidar plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. No one bought him in the IPL 2022 mini auction. In such a situation, when Lavnith Sisodia got injured, he was included in RCB as a replacement. In the same season, Patidar had scored a century in the eliminator match. He is the only uncapped player to score a century in the IPL play-offs.
Talking about his career, so far in IPL Patidar has scored 404 runs in 12 matches at an average of 40.40. During this period his strike rate has been 144.29. Whereas in his T20 career
