The production of the recently launched Ather Rizta has started at the Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu. Recently the company has informed about the preparation of its first batch. Ather Rizta was launched earlier this year at an introductory price of Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) and is available in three variants and 7 color options.

The production of the Ather Rizta has begun and the official announcement was made on Monday morning by the company's co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta on the social-media platform X. Ather is pinning a lot of its hopes on the all-new Rizta electric scooter.

Scooters such as the Ather 450S, 450X, and 450 Apex have fared well against the growing competition. At the same time, the Ather Rizta is attempting to outperform the competition as an entirely new model. It is a traditional-looking electric scooter, which may make it competitive with vehicles such as the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter.

The Ather Rizta offers a variety of battery pack options, each with a different range. The Rizta's most affordable version comes with a 2.9 kWh battery pack that can travel 105 kilometers on a single charge. Then there's a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack with a range of about 125 kilometers.

The Ather Rizta claims to accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 80 kmph. The feature list of the Ather Rizta includes a TFT touch-enabled digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, smartphone connectivity, mono-LED headlamps, LED taillights, and 12-inch alloy wheels.
