In this order, Jayesh Thakkar, founder of Mercury EV Tech, has been awarded an honorary doctorate for social service by Dr. Pradyumn Sinha, National Director of the United Nations Organization Geneva-registered Bharath Virtual University for Peace and Education.
Jayesh Thakkar, founder of Mercury EV Tech, has been organizing garba on a non-commercial basis for over two decades. To preserve the heritage of Gujarati culture, they give free entry to women garba players since its inception. Not only this, they have been doing garba only for social purpose without taking any kind of advertisement and sponsorship. The university took note of this and various other philanthropic activities Jayesh Thakkar does under this Samvedan Charitable Trust and awarded him this honour.
