Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a marathon meeting with his Council of Ministers colleagues on Tuesday. Along with ministers, bureaucrats were also present during the meeting. The PM asked the allied ministers and bureaucrats in the government to show activism on issues related to women and the poor. Effective implementation of social policies would help overcome problems, he said. Sources close to the development said during a meeting of around five hours, presided over by PM Modi at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan in the national capital Delhi, the progress made on the agenda of the first 100 days of the third term of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance or NDA government was reviewed.

PM Modi told the minister and top bureaucrats that good work has been carried out by the government during the last decade. We shall work at the same pace for the next five years too. He told the minister and officials that since they have faith in him, he has assured the people there that development will continue at the same pace as last decade. Efforts being made regarding the improvement of infrastructure and skill upgrade of the youth also formed part of the discussions at the meeting. PM ​Modi told the ministers that the Gatishakti Manch and Mission Karmayogi should be utilized to the maximum extent possible to achieve the targets set for the infrastructure and skill sectors.

According to Amar Ujala, issues related to women, the poor, youth, and farmers were discussed during the meeting. Secretaries of various government departments also attended the meeting. In the marathon meeting held about 80 days after assuming office, PM Modi emphasized spreading awareness about new schemes and policy decisions. Officials from various departments also gave presentations on behalf of different ministries regarding the implementation of the government's future policies and schemes based on the 100-day agenda. Outgoing Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba gave a presentation on the major decisions of the government. Gauba's tenure has been completed. TV Somanathan will now take over as the next Cabinet Secretary in his place. Apart from Gauba, other officials present in the meeting gave detailed presentations on the work being done to achieve the goal of 'developed India' by 2047. In the meeting, a senior official of the Ministry of Education gave a presentation on the skill development framework for developed India by 2047.

The central government has approved projects worth more than Rs 2.30 lakh related to infrastructure development. In the first 80 days itself, the NDA government has approved projects worth thousands of crores of rupees related to the construction of new railway lines, ports, airports, and industrial smart cities to achieve the goal of developing India by 2047.
