Hyundai is a big car manufacturer in India and offers the Hyundai Exter, which is a compact SUV. If you want to purchase the automatic version of this car, how much would your EMI be after paying a down payment of Rs. 2 lakhs ($200,000 USD)?

Hyundai offers the Hyundai Exter automatic version with the S trim. Hyundai's automatic version of the Exter is offered at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 7.77 lakhs ($7.77 lakhs USD). If you purchase this car from the showroom in Delhi, you will have to pay the ex-showroom price of Rs. 7.77 lakhs along with the registration fees and the insurance fees. After this, the on-road price of the vehicle in Delhi becomes ₹8.73 lakh.

If you purchase the automatic variant of the Hyundai Exter, the bank will finance the ex-showroom price only. Thus, after making a down payment of ₹2 lakh, you will have to finance an amount of approximately ₹6.73 lakh from the bank. If the bank gives you ₹6.73 lakh for seven years at 9% interest, you will have to pay an EMI of only ₹10,833 per month for the next seven years.

If you take a car loan of Rs 6.73 lakh from a bank for seven years with an interest rate of 9%, then you will have to pay an EMI of Rs 10833 every month for seven years. In such a situation, in seven years you will pay around Rs 2.36 lakh as interest for the automatic variant of Hyundai Exter. After which the total price of your car including ex-showroom, on-road and interest will be around Rs 11.09 lakh.

Hyundai brings the Exter in the compact SUV segment. In this segment, it directly competes with Tata Punch and many hatchback cars. Apart from this, in terms of price, it also faces competition from SUVs like Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx.
