Patanjali Case: Supreme Court gives relief news to Baba Ramdev, reprimands IMA Chief
Patanjali Case: In the case of misleading advertisement of Patanjali, a two-member bench of the Supreme Court has reserved its verdict in a case of contempt of court order. Now Baba Ramdev and Balkrishna will not have to appear in court. The court has granted him an exemption for further appearance. At the same time, the court reprimanded the IMA Chief for not apologizing.
The hearing was held today in the Supreme Court in the misleading advertisement case of Patanjali. During the hearing, Yoga Guru Ramdev and his colleague Balkrishna were present in the court.
The decision in a case involving contempt of court order has been reserved by the bench consisting of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah. Balkrishna and Baba Ramdev will no longer need to appear in court. He is exempt from court orders to make additional appearances.
The Indian Medical Association, or IMA, was also censured by the court at the same time. The interview given by IMA Chief RV Ashokan has drawn criticism from the Supreme Court. IMA President RV Ashokan has unconditionally apologized to the Supreme Court, much to the court's disapproval.
