Patanjali Case: Supreme Court gives relief news to Baba Ramdev, reprimands IMA Chief

The hearing was held today in the Supreme Court in the misleading advertisement case of Patanjali. During the hearing, Yoga Guru Ramdev and his colleague Balkrishna were present in the court.

The decision in a case involving contempt of court order has been reserved by the bench consisting of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah. Balkrishna and Baba Ramdev will no longer need to appear in court. He is exempt from court orders to make additional appearances.

The Indian Medical Association, or IMA, was also censured by the court at the same time. The interview given by IMA Chief RV Ashokan has drawn criticism from the Supreme Court. IMA President RV Ashokan has unconditionally apologized to the Supreme Court, much to the court's disapproval.

Actually, IMA Chief RV Ashokan has criticized the Supreme Court, according to attorney Mukul Rohatgi, who was representing Patanjali in court.

Indian Medical Association (IMA) president RV Ashokan recently tendered an unconditional apology to the bench for his statements against the apex court in an interview with PTI, where he fielded questions about the Patanjali Ayurveda misleading advertising case. Answered.

Justice Kohli told Ashokan, "You cannot sit on the sofa and give interviews to the press and ridicule the court."

The Uttarakhand State Licensing Authority (SLA) had earlier told the top court that the manufacturing licenses of 14 products of Patanjali Ayurveda Ltd and Divya Pharmacy have been "suspended with immediate effect".

The top court is hearing a petition filed by the IMA in 2022, alleging Patanjali is running a defamation campaign against the COVID-19 vaccination drive and modern systems of medicine.
