MG Astor 2025: The 2025 MG Astor has been launched with changes in its variant lineup. The compact SUV now comes with new features in the mid-level Shine and Select trims.

The 2025 MG Astor has been unveiled with a change in its variant range. The new compact car boasts new additions in its Shine and Select variants. As per MG, the new Astor is the only car in its range with a panoramic sunroof for less than Rs 13 lakh price range.

The 2025 MG Astor Shine is equipped with a panoramic sunroof and six speakers, and the new Select model is equipped with six airbags and new ivory premium leatherette seats. Astor Shine is priced under Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol with a 5-speed gearbox. On the other hand, Astor Select is priced at about Rs 14 lakh for the manual and about Rs 15 lakh for the CVT automatic

There are no cosmetic changes made to the Astor. The SUV gets sweptback LED headlamps with DRLs along with a larger grille at the front and wraparound LED taillights. The SUV rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Other features on the 2025 MG Astor include ventilated seats in the front row, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto-dimming IRVM, and updated i-Smart 2.0 with over 80 connected features. Apart from this, the Astor comes with voice recognition enabling voice commands, anti-theft alert, digital key functionality, and many more features. The top variants come with Level 2 ADAS along with other active and passive safety features.

The Astor is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. On the other hand, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol unit is only available with an automatic transmission. There are five variants in the range of MG Astor such as Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. It starts at about Rs 10 lakh and goes up to about Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG showcased the new ZS HEV hybrid at the 2025 Auto Expo with a suggestion that the model is headed to India. Although the model was a showcase, the new ZS HEV replaces the ZS (Astor in India) and could come to the country in the times to come. Meanwhile, MG will launch the Cyberster and M9 EV in a few weeks through its new 'MG Select' premium dealerships.
