'Nehru gifted Coco Islands to Myanmar' Andaman BJP candidate makes severe allegations against Congress

BJP candidate from Andaman and Nicobar Islands Bishnu Pad Ray on Sunday targeted the Congress. He claimed that the oldest party has always promoted anti-India sentiments. Said on Sunday that the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had gifted Coco Island to Myanmar. It was part of the North Andaman Islands.

He said that Congress was not worried about the islands while in power. Today the central government is building a shipyard and two defense airports in Campbell Bay to counter China.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress cannot even imagine the kind of funds that the Center has allocated to strengthen the country's defence in the face of external security challenges. No Congress leader ever bothered to visit this island group, but Modi ji made regular visits here.

He said I hope that you will soon see Congress free Andaman. This time, their candidates will lose their deposits. He said that sitting MP Kuldeep Rai Sharma did not spend a single penny for the development of the islands. Kuldeep Rai Sharma of Congress is the current MP from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
