Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageshwaran stated that AI poses risks, but it cannot function without human labor.
Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageshwaran mentioned that AI involves some risks, but this is not our destiny. The AI cannot be created, run, and controlled. Humans should be involved in all these aspects.
It is the humans who will program the AI, develop, test, and tune it. It is the humans who will make a decision when to apply AI and when not to. Someone has to be responsible for any mistake made by AI.
Centers which perform such functions will be alright. When a center performs only routine tasks, then AI will become dangerous. Such people will get impacted by AI because AI is generating more work instead of reducing it. At the event organized by the industry body CII on Thursday, Nageshwaran mentioned that AI can perform routine tasks more economically. However, the Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India are different from them.
