Manipur Police has arrested four militants of the United National Liberation Front (Pambei) from Imphal West district. This information has come to light in an official statement. A statement issued by the Police Control Room said that all four were arrested from the Chingmeirong area of ​​the district on Friday.

All four were involved in the firing incident, attack on civilians, and insulting the dignity of a woman. Police also arrested an active member of the banned outfit Kangleipak ​​Communist Party (Taibangganba) from Tezpur IVR in Kakching district on Saturday.

It said that the arrested person was involved in extortion activities. Recently, a team of State Police and CRPF was attacked by suspected militants in the Jiribam district of Manipur on Sunday. A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed in this gun attack.

The CRPF jawan was shot in the head and was declared dead in the hospital. The other injured policeman is undergoing treatment, but he is out of danger. Earlier, terrorists had also attacked the convoy of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.
