IT Outage: Microsoft outage caused panic all over the world, yet Chinese computers remained safe from crash
IT Outage: The Microsoft outage caused panic all over the world. Most Windows users had to face problems during this time. However, this global outage had almost no effect on Chinese computers. The reason behind this is the Dragon's not being dependent on any other country. In China, only software made by domestic companies are used.
Microsoft outage affected almost the entire world including India. Globally, the work of many businesses and companies came to a standstill. About 85 lakh users were troubled by the problem of Blue Screen of Death that suddenly appeared on the Windows system. But nothing like this happened in China. At the time when the whole world was in panic due to Microsoft outage. At that time everything was going on normally in China. The question is how?
When the whole world was waiting for the problems to end due to the outage, it was business as usual at that time in China. Neither anyone here had any problem with the screen of a computer nor anything else got affected. The reason behind this is simple: China does not depend upon some other country for everything.
In fact, China focuses on strengthening its own infrastructure rather than giving preference to things outside. According to a report, the Chinese banking sector was not affected due to technical glitches and neither was the effect of this outage seen at Chinese airports.
China uses its own social media platform. Especially, the American software is used very little in China. There are very few business or service groups in China that take service from an outside company. The Chinese companies provide software services to the businesses and service groups there.
A software update released by US cyber security firm CrowdStrike caused these problems worldwide. The workflow of big companies was affected by this. Due to a glitch in the update, the IT system faced a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error. Due to which the system started restarting automatically.
Microsoft responded to this outage in a blog post. The company said, "We understand that this problem has caused severe damage to the business and work of many people. However, now this problem has been controlled to a great extent. Hundreds of engineers and experts have been put to work to solve this problem."
