Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)'s ambitious mission unmanned Gaganyaan-1 can be launched in March next year. ISRO is preparing to send a team of scientists for this unmanned mission. Scientists will reach observation points in the Pacific Ocean and North Atlantic Ocean to monitor the mission. If the mission is successful, India can send manned Gaganyaan into space by 2026.
According to media reports, four astronauts are being trained for the manned Gaganyaan mission. ISRO plans a three-day mission. Under this, astronauts will be sent to an orbit 400 kilometers away from the Earth. Later they will be landed in the sea.
The Gaganyaan-1 mission will be launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh after sending two ships carrying scientists. One ship will carry eight scientists. They will reach the place in the Pacific Ocean after two weeks of journey. A communication circuit will be created by ISRO through them. It would keep contact with two tracking command headquarters in Bengaluru.
The second ship will depart from the port of New York for the North Atlantic Ocean. It needs to cover a distance of three thousand kilometers for positioning. Scientists from both ships will move to their respective places in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans two days prior to the mission.
