This news has come amid the ongoing dispute between the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Sri Lankan board. It is noteworthy that the ICC had banned Sri Lanka this month. However, despite the ban, he can participate in the bilateral series.
According to next year's schedule released by Sri Lanka Cricket, the Indian team will play three ODIs and three T20 matches in July-August. Sri Lanka men's team has to play a total of 52 international matches in the next year i.e. 2024. These include ten Tests, 21 ODIs, and 21 international T20 matches.
Under the World Test Championship (WTC), the Sri Lankan team will play a three-Test series against England. This series will be played in England only. Apart from this, Sri Lanka will play two Tests in South Africa in November.
Sri Lanka has been banned by the ICC due to government interference in cricket. For this reason, the hosting of the Under-19 World Cup has also been withdrawn from it. Now this tournament will be held in South Africa. Despite the ban, the Sri Lanka national teams (men's and women's) are allowed to fulfill their bilateral commitments.
