Google to Launch $1B Mega Data Hub in Visakhapatnam, Boosting India’s Digital Future
Google Data Center in India: Google is planning to build Asia's largest data center cluster in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The company will invest approximately $10 billion (approximately ₹8,730 crore) in this project. This project will take India's digital infrastructure to new heights.
Technology giant Google is investing a record amount in India's digital economy. The company will build a mega data center campus of 1 gigawatt (1 GW) capacity in Visakhapatnam. It will be the biggest data hub not just in India but in Asia.
According to reports, this cluster will be located across three separate campuses: Adavivaram and Tarluwada (Visakhapatnam district) and Rambilli (Anakapalli district). This mega data hub of Google is expected to be fully operational by July 2028.
Google's investment will not be limited to just the data center. The project will also include the construction of three high-capacity submarine cables, cable landing stations, a metro fiber network, and state-of-the-art telecom infrastructure.
