Google has shipped 40 million Pixel phones since 2016, sold 10 million units in just 1 year

Google has shipped nearly 40 million Pixel smartphones since 2016 and 10 million units in the last 12 months. The company recently launched the Pixel 8 series which has attracted the attention of millions of users globally including India.

According to Francisco Geronimo, vice president of global market research firm IDC, Google Pixel has shipped 37.9 million phones between 2016 and 2023. The sales figures come days after Google introduced its new Pixel 8 smartphones in several markets, including India.

Total sales have reportedly reached nearly 40 million units since its launch in 2016. Google was approaching the 30 million mark last year, with 27.6 million units sold just before the launch of the Pixel 7.

According to a new report, the last 12 months have been the best ever for Google Pixel smartphones. The tech giant has sold nearly 10 million Pixel smartphones in the last 12 months. In the year 2019, the company has sold only 7.2 million units.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones and Pixel Watch 2 are now available in India. The Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 and the Pixel 8 Pro is priced at Rs 106,999 with some attractive offers. Both devices will be available for purchase on Flipkart from October 12. Google Pixel Watch 2 is priced at Rs 39,900 and will be available for purchase on Flipkart on the same day.

Limited-time launch offers in India include an Rs 8,000 bank offer at select banks and a Rs 3,000 exchange offer on Pixel 8 with its terms and conditions. There will be an exchange offer of Rs 9,000 on select banks and an exchange offer of Rs 4,000 on Pixel 8 Pro.

According to the company, with any purchase of Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, you can buy Pixel Watch 2 for Rs 19,999 or Pixel Buds Pro for Rs 8,999.
