The second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) witnessed a storm of runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday. East Delhi Riders recorded a historic victory over Outer Delhi Warriors by 5 wickets. Chasing a massive target of 232 runs, East Delhi Riders reached the goal with four balls to spare. This was the largest run chase ever in the history of the DPL. Earlier, opener Priyansh Arya played brilliantly for Outer Delhi Warriors and scored a century.

Priyansh Arya scored 111 runs off 56 balls, including seven fours and nine sixes. His innings helped the team reach a formidable target. Karan Garg supported Priyansh and formed a good partnership. Thanks to his quick knock of 43 runs off 24 balls, the team posted 231 runs in 20 overs. 

In response, East Delhi Riders faced an early setback, losing 3 wickets for 51 runs. But the team did not give up, and the partnership of Arpit Rana and captain Anuj Rawat changed the course of the match. The duo shared a spectacular 130-run stand for the fourth wicket and chased the target with patience and aggressive batting. 

Arpit Rana played a vital innings of 79 runs off 45 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes, while captain Anuj Rawat scored a swift 84 runs off just 35 balls, including two fours and nine sixes. 

With this win, East Delhi Riders are now second in the DPL points table after Central Delhi Kings. The team has lost only one out of four matches. Meanwhile, Outer Delhi Warriors, with only one win in four matches, will look to bounce back in their upcoming games.
