This time, Royal Challengers Bangalore clinched the IPL trophy under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar. RCB defeated Gujarat Titans to win the trophy in the Narendra Modi Stadium of Ahmedabad. Virat Kohli is extremely pleased with his team’s win this year. He says that RCB asked an important question last year, and now it has got an answer to it.

In 2021, RCB won their first trophy after defeating Punjab Kings, putting an end to their 17-year trophy drought. In 2022, RCB retained the trophy and emerged as the third IPL team to have successfully defended its trophy. Till now, only Chennai Super Kings in 2010 and 2011, as well as Mumbai Indians in 2019 and 2020, have achieved this feat.

Virat Kohli, RCB’s legendary player, who had been waiting for this moment for a very long time, felt extremely emotional after this second win. He took to Instagram to share how he was feeling.

Kohli posted four different photos with the team's players and the trophy, captioning it, "Last year, we asked ourselves: Can we win the trophy twice in a row? Here we are."

Kohli played a key role in RCB's second title win. His strong performance last year also contributed to the team's victory. This season, his bat also performed well. He was the team's leading run-scorer. He scored 675 runs in 16 matches, including one century and five half-centuries. This was Kohli's fourth consecutive season in which he scored more than 600 runs.
