Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev, made it to the final, will then face Jannik Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the final of the Cincinnati Open. Alcaraz beat Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-3 in the semi-finals to advance to the tour-level final for the seventh consecutive time. Carlos Alcaraz will again face Jannik Sinner in the final. This will be the fourth game of the year and the 14th in total between Alcaraz and Sinner.

"I am looking forward to playing against Sinner again. In every match we try to raise our level. I am ready to take on the challenge. I am ready to correct the mistakes I made in the last match," Alcaraz said.

At 22 years and three months, Alcaraz is the third-youngest player to reach nine Masters 1000 finals after Rafael Nadal (20) and Novak Djokovic (21), according to the ATP.

By reaching his ninth ATP Masters 1000 final (7-1) and his first final on hard court since winning the Indian Wells title last year, Alcaraz extended his winning streak at this prestigious level to 16 matches after his titles in Monte-Carlo and Rome.

Earlier, defending champion Sinner produced a brilliant performance to win 7-6(4), 6-2 and reach his eighth ATP Masters 1000 final. Sinner defeated world number 136 Terrence Atmane. This was Sinner's 200th tour-level win on hard court.

Atmane could not make it to the final after losing to Sinner. But, on the basis of his excellent performance in this tournament, he jumped 67 places to reach the highest 69th position of his career.
