Byju India CEO Arjun Mohan resigns, Ravindran himself will take charge

Byju India CEO and confidant of founder Byju Raveendran, Arjun Mohan, has left the company six months after taking over the post. This is a significant top-level resignation that could plunge the troubled ed-tech firm into further trouble. However, according to reports, Arjun will continue to support Byju as an external advisor. This development has come at a time when the company's founder Raveendran has been grappling with several problems plaguing the company for the past year.

According to a company statement, Ravindran will assume day-to-day management of the Indian business under Think & Learn after Mohan's departure. After nearly four years away, Raveendran is taking charge of day-to-day operations once more. As of right now, he can make internal announcements about the most recent modifications. Last year, Mohan took over as the company's CEO from Mrinal Mohit. They had both passed the Founder Teaching Common Admission Test (CAT) administered by Raveendran.

After Mrinal Mohit left Byju in September 2023, the company appointed Arjun Mohan as the CEO of its Indian business. Arjun Mohan rejoined Byju as CEO of its international business in July 2023. Before this, he had worked with Byju for about 11 years. Later he moved to UpGrad as CEO of India Business. In December 2022, he resigned from UPGRAD. Arjun has also written a book titled 'Educating a Billion'.
