The mobile app of Air India has received its complete update with new facilities. These updates will assist in making quick response from the side of Air India and improvement of the payment mechanism specific for India. According to Air India, the key updates include assistance in case of flight disruption, payment system updates and in-house online booking facility.

As per Satya Ramaswamy, who is the Chief Digital and Technology Officer of Air India, these updates will facilitate easier booking and quick response to their customers. On Thursday, Air India mentioned in its statement that the app had been downloaded by nearly 17 million people (1.7 crore), and around 100,000 people use it every day.

In the event of any flight disruption, passengers will be provided with hotel accommodation and transport assistance directly from the home screen. This assistance will be context-aware, ensuring passengers receive immediate solutions. The in-house internet booking mechanism will offer a faster and more responsive user interface, making the booking process smoother than ever. Passengers will no longer have to wait for travel-related information or assistance; this feature will save time and make their journey more comfortable.
