Mumbai Cricket President Ajinkya Naik said in a statement on Monday that Yashasvi Jaiswal has always been the pride of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted Jaiswal's NOC withdrawal application. He will be available for Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season. In fact, the left-handed player had requested to play for Goa in April. For this, he had sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal informed the MCA about withdrawing his request just a month later.
Amidst all these changes, the reasons behind his initial request have not been disclosed, although according to reports, Yashasvi Jaiswal wanted a leadership role. In such a situation, he wanted to play for another team except Mumbai.
Yashasvi Jaiswal changed his decision to play for Goa and sent an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association. In that email, he requested to withdraw the NOC and sought permission to play for Mumbai this season.
