Bharat NCAP released QR code sticker, people can check the safety rating of cars themselves

Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP), which started last year, has tested many vehicles till this year. Along with this, it has also provided them this safety rating. Now Bharat NCAP has come up with safety-rated QR code stickers for cars. The purpose of bringing this sticker is to increase awareness among people about vehicle safety. People will be able to know about the safety features of the vehicle by scanning this QR code sticker on the vehicles. Let's know what is Bharat NCAP QR code sticker?

Bharat NCAP will grant QR code stickers to those automobile manufacturers whose vehicles have undergone a crash test under the safety program. The BNCAP-issued sticker will give complete information about the name of the vehicle manufacturer, the name of the vehicle or model, the date of the test, and the safety star rating for both adults and children. Whenever a person scans these stickers with their mobile or any other device, the complete information about that vehicle will pop up on the screen.

In 2023, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launched the Bharat NCAP, in collaboration with Global NCAP. Under this, safety tests of some vehicles have also been done so far. The initiation of this crash test has made India the fifth country to adopt such a safety system at the global level. More than 30 requests for crash tests have been received since its inception.
