Afghanistan beat New Zealand badly and made a big upset in the T20 World Cup

The 14th T20 World Cup 2024 match was played today, Saturday, between Afghanistan and New Zealand at Guyana's Providence Stadium. Afghanistan batted first and scored 159 runs in 20 overs, losing six wickets. In response, the New Zealand team collapsed for 75 in 15.2 overs, and Afghanistan won comfortably by 84 runs. While Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 80 runs in 56 balls, including five fours and five sixes, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Rashid Khan each took four wickets to demolish the New Zealand team.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl, which did not go well for the Kiwi team. For Afghanistan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran shared a 103-run partnership in 87 balls for the first wicket. Due to this, the Afghanistan team was able to score 159 runs for 7 wickets. However, in the last over, Trent Boult brought New Zealand back. He took 3 wickets for just 3 runs in the last over.
Chasing Afghanistan's target of 160 runs, New Zealand had a very bad start.
