Abhishek Sharma Hits 75 as India Post 168/6 vs Bangladesh in Asia Cup Super-4

India has given Bangladesh a target of 169 runs to win the Super-4 match of the Asia Cup 2025. India, having lost the toss against Bangladesh, came out to bat first and scored 168 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs allotted. Abhishek Sharma, who opened for India, scored an excellent 75 runs in 37 balls, containing 6 fours and 5 sixes, before getting run out. This was Abhishek Sharma's fourth half-century in his T20 international career. 

Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a great start, batting first against Bangladesh. The two added 77 runs for the first wicket in 6.2 overs. India suffered their first loss in the form of Shubman Gill (29 runs, 19 balls). India then suffered a series of setbacks, with Shivam Dubey (2 runs), Abhishek Sharma (75 runs), captain Surya Kumar Yadav (2 runs), and Tilak Verma (5 runs) all departing.

Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel combined to score quickly. The two batsmen had taken the team's score to 168 for 10 in the allotted 19.5 overs when Hardik Pandya was dismissed on the last ball. Hardik Pandya finished with 38 runs off 29 balls, including four fours and a six, while Axar Patel remained unbeaten on 10 runs off 15 balls. India reached 168 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Bangladesh, Rishad Hussain took two wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzid Hasan Shakib, and Mohammad Saifuddin took one wicket each.
