AAIB chief probing Ahmedabad plane crash gets CRPF security; Know reason behind this step
The central government has provided CRPF's X category security to GVG Yugandhar, the head of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). The central government has given the Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) X category security to GVG Yugandhar, chief of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
According to Jagran sources, the new arrangement has come into effect from June 16. This step has been taken at a time when the AAIB is probing the Air India Boeing Dreamliner plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad on June 12.
241 of the 242 passengers, including crew members, died in the crash. Besides that, 34 others also died from the crash. The investigation team is conducting an in-depth analysis of the details received from the crashed aircraft's black box at the AAIB laboratory in New Delhi.
According to the Civil Aviation Ministry, the Crash Protection Module (CPM) was safely removed from the front black box. On June 25, the memory module was successfully accessed, and its data was downloaded to the AAIB laboratory.
The investigation is being conducted by AAIB authorities and has technical experts from the US-based National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Indian Air Force, and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. This US-made aircraft.
