After the success in electric car sales - Comet EV, ZS EV, and Windsor EV, JSW MG Motors is busy strengthening its position in petrol and diesel vehicles. The latest one on which the company is working is the 2026 MG Hector Facelift, and it was recently spied under test. Light camouflage covered the testing model. One thing that can pretty well be made out is that a new design will be given to MG Hector.
The Hector Facelift, coming in 2026, is expected to be more refined. It received its first major update in 2023, and now a mid-life refresh is expected in 2026. The front and rear of the car have been heavily covered during testing. The testing model shows a new grille design and new front and rear bumpers. Furthermore, the sheet metal and lighting elements remain unchanged. The LED DRLs, LED headlight setup, radar position for ADAS, and bonnet design remain unchanged. The rear is expected to receive minor changes, including a new rear bumper. The testing model also shows new alloy wheels.
It will be offered with two engine options: a 1.5-liter turbo petrol and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel. Minor changes are expected in its specifications. It could feature ventilation for both front and rear seats, a new 14-inch portrait-style infotainment system with improved touch response, and some physical buttons for climate control. The diesel model is also expected to have more ADAS features and a diesel automatic variant.
