176 civilians including 16 foreign nationals evacuated due to floods in Sikkim, IAF informed

According to Indian Air Force officials, as part of relief efforts in flood-hit Sikkim, the Indian Air Force has deployed its Mi-17 V5, CH-47 Chinook, and Mi-47 Chinook aircraft to rescue people stranded in remote areas and deliver essential supplies to cut-off areas. Cheetah helicopters have been deployed.
Sikkim recently faced significant disruptions due to flash floods, which caused damage to footbridges, roads, and other infrastructure.
