Telangana Man Shot Dead While Delivering Pizza in Philadelphia, Family Alleges Trap

According to Anshul's family, he was not robbed, which raises questions about the motive for the murder. According to the family, two masked gunmen with bags on their backs were seen in the area at the time of the attack.

They also stated that Anshul had previously been robbed in the US, where his chain, phone, and cash were stolen, but he had never faced a fatal attack. Anshul's sister, Tanvi, alleged that the pizza delivery was a trap set to kill him.

She said, "He was asked to deliver a pizza to a deserted area, but later we learned it was a ruse. There was no one there. It was a trap, intended only to kill him. We don't know what they got out of it or what their intentions were. They took my brother and killed him."

She appealed to authorities to bring her brother's body back to India as soon as possible. Anshul's sister said, "My brother was a very friendly and cheerful person. He had been in the US for about four years. We learned that he was lured through a fake pizza delivery request and shot dead. Our only request is that his body be brought back to India as soon as possible."

Tanvi said that authorities had informed the family that the body could be handed over on Monday, but she urged them to expedite the process so that the family could perform the last rites without any delay.

She also demanded justice for her brother, saying that the family does not specifically suspect anyone, but wants those responsible to be identified and punished.

Speaking to the media, Tanvi appealed to people not to send their children to the US. He said, "This is a message to all parents who are thinking of sending their children to the US. My brother was a very friendly and cheerful person. He had no specific reason to go to the US, yet we sent him. He himself didn't want to go, but he went, and look what happened to him. Don't send your children to the US."

The Consulate General of India in New York has taken cognizance of the incident and said they are in touch with local authorities and the victim's family and are providing all possible assistance. Anshul's tragic murder has sparked concern among the Telugu community in the US and Telangana.
