‘We’re Never Out of the Game’: Harry Brook’s Big Statement Before India Clash

England captain Harry Brook is pleased with his team’s five consecutive victories in the T20 World Cup. A day before the crucial semi-final match against India, Brook said, "We're never out of the game. We play best when the pressure is highest." England easily won their group matches against Nepal, Scotland, and Italy, but they were thoroughly beaten by the West Indies. In the Super 8s, Brook and his team progressed to the semi-finals without losing to Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and New Zealand.

Brook told Sky Sports Cricket, "We're winning close matches, and that's the sign of a good team. I've learned that you're never out of the game. I know I have players with a lot of character, who want to win. They want to win a lot, but they also remain calm under pressure."

He says this confidence is what makes England a strong team in the semi-final against the hosts. Emphasizing England's aggressive approach, he said, "I want to make it as difficult as possible for the batsmen at all times."

Despite the poor performance of white-ball great Jos Buttler and the lack of consistent performance of Phil Salt, Brook has fully supported his top order. He said, "I think Jos should be left alone. He's one of the best players the game has ever seen, and I can see him doing well. We have so many strong players in the top seven that if even one of them is out, the opposition will be scratching their heads."

Brook also gave special praise to all-rounder Will Jacks, calling his first proper World Cup appearance "fantastic." Brook said he has embraced that position and done exceptionally well. "The character he has shown is tremendous," he concluded, adding that the semi-final is going to be a thrilling one... a huge occasion with a lot of pressure for both teams.
