Using AI has become even easier, now Grok will also work in replies on X

On Elon Musk-owned social media platform X (previously Twitter), the Grok bot is discoverable by mentioning it directly as part of the top-level reply to the post. When tagged in a reply to a post, the AI bot Grok is already able to understand the content of the post and reply to even vaguely written questions.

In the last few weeks, X unveiled the Grok button throughout the platform. One can find it in the post composition area, the website sidebar, the bottom menu in the app, the side of every post (as the post explanation tool), the side of every account (as the profile summary tool), and as a standalone bottom-right website button.

Now the developers have made it accessible in replies as well. Users can ask questions on any post by tagging "@grok" and the chatbot will respond immediately. According to the report, users have seen it tagged on text posts, images, and video posts.

As soon as Grok is tagged, it understands the context of the post, allowing users to ask even short and vague questions like just "Explain this". Apart from this, it also supports web search, allowing it to provide real-time information on many occasions. However, it can only be tagged in top-level replies, it does not work when tagged inside another reply.
