TVS Orbiter electric scooter launched, gets 158 km range and special safety features
TVS Orbiter: TVS Motor Company has further expanded its electric scooter lineup by launching the new TVS Orbiter.
TVS Motor Company has further added to its electric scooter segment with the launch of new TVS Orbiter. Its Bangalore ex-showroom price has been kept under Rs 1 lakh. It has been provided with a brand new design, where some of the design aspects have also been picked from iQube. This new electric scooter is filled with lots of features and appears very practical as well.
TVS Orbiter comes equipped with a 3.1 kWh battery, which the company claims provides a range of 158 km on a full charge. It features two riding modes - Power and Eco, and regenerative braking. Currently, no details about the motor's power and charging time have been provided by the company.
Talking about the features, this scooter is second to none. It has all-LED lighting, USB port for charging mobile, small storage space, and an OTA update facility.
Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation are available with the digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, it also has features like hill-hold assist, cruise control and parking assist. The special thing is that if the scooter falls, it will automatically turn off the motor.
In terms of design, the TVS Orbiter looks a bit funky but modern. It has many color options, which make it even more different. The 845 mm long seat and the large 290 mm floorboard make it comfortable. The design of the handlebar gives the rider a straight and comfortable riding position.
The under-seat storage is 34 liters and the ground clearance is 169 mm. The scooter has a 14-inch alloy wheel at the front and a 12-inch wheel at the rear, which has an electric motor.
TVS Orbiter is available in 6 color options. These include colors like Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Gray, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium and Martian Copper.
