Threat to the security of millions of boAt customers! Personal data has been leaked on the dark web

If you use boAt's products, then you must have entered information like your email ID, contact number and address on the boAt site to purchase the product. But now big news has come. In fact, according to a report, data of 7.5 million boat customers has been leaked on the dark web. A hacker has claimed that the data of more than 75 lakh bot customers is now on the dark web.

The data available on the dark web includes personal information such as name, address, contact number, email ID and customer ID. The hacker has reportedly leaked around 2GB of data on a forum. According to a Forbes report, on April 5, a hacker named ShopifyGUY claimed to have breached the data of Boat, a company making audio products and smartwatches.

Boat Lifestyle has not yet responded to anything regarding this entire situation. Experts, however, think that user security might be at risk as a result of the exposure of personal information. Phishing and financial fraud cases might rise under such circumstances.
