New iPhone 17 may get 50W wireless charging support, this technology will be possible

Apple is said to be launching fast wireless charging support on the new iPhone 17 series. The new MagSafe chargers are under development by the company and will support the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard. With these chargers, wireless charging of up to 50W is possible in the iPhone 17 series.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, two new MagSafe chargers (model numbers A3502 and A3503) have been spotted on the website of Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC). Both chargers look similar to the existing MagSafe chargers. The only difference is in the length of the cable. The A3502 has a 1-meter braided cable. The A3503 has a 2-meter braided cable.

These new chargers will follow the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard, which will be announced soon by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). Under Qi 2.2, chargers will be able to output up to 45W. The iPhone 17 series can take advantage of this and get up to 50W wireless charging.
