Tata Motors is constantly expanding its EV portfolio. The company already has Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV in its EV lineup. But, now the company is working on a new electric car, which can be launched in the Indian market in the next few months.
The EV which is included in the upcoming launch list of Tata Motors is Tata Curv EV, which is expected to be launched soon. Here are some things that make the upcoming EV special.
The Tata Curve EV is going to be a ground-up all-electric vehicle. The coupe SUV is already a special body style and this is the first time that Tata Motors is going to enter this space with the Curve EV. The design of this vehicle is expected to be different from other Tata EV vehicles. It will include some new things in terms of styling, which are not given in other Tata electric cars.
The Tata Curve EV is expected to have aggressive styling. The concept model presented also points towards this. The upcoming EV will have solid LED headlamps, a full-width LED light bar on the front profile, bold bold-looking front profile, a sloping roofline, flush-fitting door handles, and connected LED taillights. Some things in the SUV can also be taken from Nexon.
The Tata Curve EV will also stand out in terms of interior design. The inside will offer many unique characteristics. It will have a free-standing 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It is also envisaged that the instrument cluster would be all-digital. The Curve EV will include a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based HVAC management. Aside from that, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof will be available.
The new Tata Curve EV will not fall short in terms of safety measures. It will be equipped with excellent safety features. The car is believed to have at least six airbags. It will feature a 360-degree surround camera and an ADAS suite.
In the last few years, Tata Motors has made a trend of launching cars with variable powertrain options. Tiago, Tigor and Punch models are already available in petrol, petrol-CNG and electric propulsion options. Nexon is also available in petrol, diesel and EV options. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to expect that the Curve will also follow in the same footsteps. It will initially come as an EV, while ICE variants will follow.
