As soon as the Lok Sabha elections were announced, BJP also released the fifth list. This includes the name of Vinoj P Selvam from Chennai Central constituency of Tamil Nadu. BJP leader Vinoj further said, 'The first promise I make is that people will see me even after the elections...I am going to become an MP who will work for the people. We are from PM Narendra Modi's organization, his party Are from. We believe in the way they work and we are here to serve the people and we will bring the change that people want to see.

In addition, O Panneerselvam (OPS), a former chief minister and leader of the AIADMK and candidate for the BJP alliance, submitted his nomination on Monday for the Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha seat. To B Vishnu Chandran, the district collector for Ramanathapuram, Panneerselvam submitted his nomination.
