As soon as the Lok Sabha elections were announced, BJP also released the fifth list. This includes the name of Vinoj P Selvam from Chennai Central constituency of Tamil Nadu. Regarding being fielded, Vinoj said that he believes in the working methods of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he will serve the people as per their wishes.

BJP leader Vinoj further said, 'The first promise I make is that people will see me even after the elections...I am going to become an MP who will work for the people. We are from PM Narendra Modi's organization, his party Are from. We believe in the way they work and we are here to serve the people and we will bring the change that people want to see.

In addition, O Panneerselvam (OPS), a former chief minister and leader of the AIADMK and candidate for the BJP alliance, submitted his nomination on Monday for the Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha seat. To B Vishnu Chandran, the district collector for Ramanathapuram, Panneerselvam submitted his nomination.

Speaking to the media, Panneerselvam said, 'I am contesting from Ramanathapuram constituency on behalf of the AIADMK Volunteer Rights Rescue Committee, I will try to bring back all the lost projects in this constituency and not only that, I will also try to bring back all the lost projects in the coastal areas. I will take forward the issue of rescue of fishermen who are facing problems every day in the area. I told this to PM Modi, who will hold the post of Prime Minister for the third time. He further said that he would bring welfare schemes for the people of this constituency.
