According to a report in Cricbuzz, Jay Shah has confirmed that BCCI is looking for a new head coach and is going to release the application for its appointment soon. Currently, the head coach of Team India is former legendary batsman Rahul Dravid.

According to the report, Jai Shah said, 'Rahul's tenure is only till June. Therefore, if he wants to come back to this position, he will have to apply for it again.
Shah further said that other staff of the coaching staff, like batting, bowling, and fielding coaches will be selected after consultation with the new coach. He said, 'We cannot decide whether the new coach will be Indian or foreign. 'This will be decided by the CAC' Shah confirmed that the new coach will be appointed for a long tenure and will serve for an initial period of three years.
