Before the announcement of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025, the predictions are already underway about the tournament's winner. Former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma expressed full confidence that the 'Men in Blue' will secure the Asia Cup title next month. He said that no matter which team is chosen, it will perform at its best. The Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28, will see Team India start its campaign against the UAE on September 10. India will also face its arch-rival Pakistan on September 14.

Chetan Sharma told ANI that the players selected for the Indian team will be the best in the country. He added, "I am proud of the way we are playing, especially against England. We will win the Asia Cup." This time, the tournament will be played in a T20 format, with teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong participating alongside India and Pakistan.

UAE and Oman are in Group A, along with India and Pakistan. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong make up Group B. India is hosting this tournament. Due to an agreement between BCCI and PCB, it is being held at a neutral venue.
