The Indian women's cricket team has been fined 10 percent of the match fee for a slow over-rate in the second ODI of the ICC Women's Championship Series against Australia. The fine was due to Harmanpreet Kaur's team bowling two overs less than the target, imposed by ICC match referee David Gilbert. The ICC statement said, "India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has admitted the offense and accepted the proposed fine, so there is no need for a formal hearing."

Field umpires Claire Polosak and Donovan Koch, third umpire Jacqueline Williams, and fourth umpire David Taylor leveled the charges. The second ODI played in Brisbane was challenging for the Indian team. Australia set a commanding target, notching up 371/8, their highest ever-score in ODIs against India. In response, India could manage just 249 runs and fell behind by 122 runs.

Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Support Staff states that for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, players will be fined five percent of their match fees. Australia won the three-match ODI series 3-0.
