Australia's big action before T20 World Cup, these players including David Warner-Marcus Stoinis out of central contract

Cricket Australia (CA) has announced its central contract for the year 2024-25. Many veteran players including former opener David Warner and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis have been left out of it. Four new players have been included in it. This is a big decision taken by Cricket Australia before the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies.

Twenty-three players are included in Cricket Australia's central contract. All-rounder Aaron Hardy, Nathan Ellis, Matt Short, and fast bowler Xavier Bartlett have all signed contracts for the first time. In international cricket, these four players have already made their debuts. Ellis participated in both the ODI and T20 series against South Africa last year, while Short and Hardy made their T20 series debut.

In addition to Warner and Stoinis, the contract does not include any space for Ashton Agar, Marcus Harris, or fast bowler Michael Neser, who are all-round players. Warner announced his retirement from the Test and ODI formats, and rumours have it that he will call it quits on cricket after the T20 World Cup. Perhaps this is the reason why Cricket Australia has not included him in the central contract.
