The SIT investigation will remain suspended till October 3 due to the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court. Andhra Pradesh top cop Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said in a statement according to ANI, "The SIT was formed to investigate the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam case and the suspension is a precautionary step to ensure the integrity of the investigation." On Monday, the SIT visited the flour mill in Tirumala, where ghee is stored and tested in the lab before being used to make laddus. The Andhra Pradesh DGP was quoted as saying that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into 'adulteration' in Tirupati laddus has been put on hold because the matter is before the Supreme Court.

During the hearing on Monday, the Supreme Court questioned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's statement, a bench of Justices B R Gavai and K V Vishwanathan said, "It is quite clear from the report that this is not the ghee that has been used. Unless you are sure, how did you go public with it?" 'The judge in the court also said that gods should be kept away from politics.
