Scotland has announced their 15-member team for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament is scheduled to start on February 7th, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting it. The seasoned all-rounder, Richie Berrington, will again lead the Scottish cricket team into the tournament. It is Scotland's seventh time in the T20 World Cup tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially confirmed the inclusion of Scotland on Saturday. Scotland was included in the tournament after Bangladesh decided not to travel to India for the tournament for security reasons.
According to ICC regulations, Scotland received this opportunity as the highest-ranked T20I team that did not originally qualify for the tournament. Scotland currently has a T20I ranking of 14th, better than seven teams already in the tournament: Namibia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nepal, the United States of America (USA), Canada, Oman, and Italy.
